Aston Villa have made a move for Nottingham Forest striker Britt Assombalonga according to a report from the Bristol Post.
The Post report how Villa have already had a bid rejected for the former Peterborough man but they will look to go back with a further offer for him.
The Villans have been left frustrated in recent week with a pursuit of Hull City striker Abel Hernandez not materialising into much.

Assombalonga spent over a year out through injury at Forest but has made a successful return this season with three goals in three games this season.
He moved to the East Midlands side in 2014 and hit the ground running with 15 goals in 29 games.
The Congo international plays off the last man well and exploits defenders with his raw pace and strength up top.
Owner Dr Tony Xia has said that the Midlands side are looking at more additions in the attacking department before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday evening.
