Aston Villa’s new signing Jonathan Kodjia has spoken to the club’s official TV channel about his move to B6.
Kodjia moved to the Midlands side from Bristol City for a reported record transfer in the Championship of £15 million.
He moved on a four-year deal and will be hopeful of matching or even bettering his 20 goals he scored last season in a poor Bristol City side.
Speaking with the club’s media he spoke about how ‘historic’ Aston Villa was and how the Championship was a competitive league to get out of but he was hopeful of scoring the goals to take the Villans up the league.
It’s a big club and it’s a good moment for me. It’s a historic club.
The Ivory Coast international spoke of how he felt the Midlands side was the ideal place for him and that the club was a ‘big’ one and obviously a draw to him when making the move from the Robins.
Every game is hard because teams are concentrating and run for 90 minutes. We need to be together, show solidarity and to work hard.
He will now join his international teammates before linking up with the Villa squad.
