Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce wants Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan in January according to a report.
The Mail Online say that Bruce wants to take the keeper to Villa Park with Jose Mourinho keen to see him get more experience elsewhere.
The Championship side purchased Pierluigi Gollini in the summer from Hellas Verona whilst letting go of Brad Guzan but the new arrival has found England’s second division tricky so far.
Mark Bunn, Jed Steer, and Pierluigi Gollini will all be fighting it out up to January to prove their worth in goal with Bruce clearly looking at other options come January.

Johnstone has a wealth of experience already on loan with his most recent spell being with Preston North End last season where he made four appearances between December and February.
He also spent another spell at Preston as well as at Doncaster Rovers, Yeovil Town, Walsall, Oldham Athletic and Scunthorpe United.
Meanwhile, the report also says that Bruce is keen to add West Ham United coach Chris Woods to his backroom staff as a goalkeeping coach.
