Steve Bruce’s son, Alex will not be making the move to Villa Park with his dad after a Villa fan asked on social media.
Alex Bruce who is currently plying his trade at Bruce’s former club Hull City has moved numerous times to play for the side his dad has been managing at the time but he has came out and said he won’t be moving to his latest side.
Villa fans have been jokingly anticipating the signing of Bruce on Twitter especially with the West Midlands side poor start to their Championship season.
Twitter: Getting in early, welcome to @AVFCOfficial @AlexBruce84 looking forward to seeing what you can do #avfc #UTV https://t.co/2RbaIwUXXk (@danbardell)
Twitter: No mate you couldn’t afford me!!

Currently the Villans have a wealth of options at the heart of the defence with Tommy Elphick, James Chester, Micah Richards and Nathan Baker all potential options.
Bruce Jnr had come out in support of his father on Twitter wishing him luck with the job at hand.
Aston Villa will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in Steve Bruce’s first game in charge on Saturday evening.
