Aston Villa have shown an interest in Chesterfield striker Ched Evans according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim that the West Midlands side are looking at the former Manchester City man but he is intending to stay loyal to Chesterfield.
The 27 year old was cleared of sexual assault by Cardiff Crown Court on Friday and has been in good form so far this season in League One.
Evans has scored four times in his eight games so far for the Spireites as they sit 21st in the table.
The Villans spent big during the summer on strikers but so far the expenditure has failed to turn into plenty of goals with only eleven goals scored in their opening twelve games.
Jonathan Kodjia and Rudy Gestede lead the goal scorers for Villa this season but surely Steve Bruce isn’t looking to add even more striking options to an already top heavy side?
