Aston Villa outcast to travel with squad for Sunday’s game

Aston Villa outcast Gabriel Agbonlahor will return to the first team fold as such on Sunday with the forward expected to travel with the Villans to St Andrews ahead of a crunch clash with Birmingham City.

Agbonlahor is yet to feature at all this season in a claret and blue shirt and is currently on a six week weight loss programme after it was revealed he was unfit.

The 30 year old knows all about facing Birmingham City having bagged goals on numerous occasions against the Championship outfit’s biggest rivals.

He has found life at Villa Park tough in recent years with his off field antics often making front page headlines including being pictured in a London hotel partying the night Villa were relegated from the Premier League and using a shish pipe whilst out on holiday in Dubai during the season.

We’ve gone on a programme with him and so far all’s gone well. Touch wood – let’s hope that continues.

Manager Steve Bruce revealed in his press conference how Agbonlahor would travel with the squad but wouldn’t be fit enough to play any part on Sunday.

Sunday might be a bit early for him but he will be with us.
