Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is keen to add Manchester United coach Warren Joyce as his assistant manager at Villa Park according to a report.
The Daily Star claim that Bruce switched attention from Middlesbrough coach Steve Agnew to focus on a pursuit of Joyce who is being courted by Wigan Athletic for their vacant managerial position.
Bruce has put his backroom appointments on the back burner since being appointed as Aston Villa boss with his main focus on the field with steadying the ship more of a priority.
The veteran manager has so far appointed Hull City coach Steve Clemence and it has been rumoured that a move for the Tigers goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh is also close to being completed.
Joyce has been with Manchester United in different capacities since 2008 and has been in control of the various red devil reserve side since 2010.
He spent time at Royal Antwerp between 2006 and 2008 before his move to United.
