Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce will be allowed to splash the cash to continue the club’s upturn in good fortune it has been reported.
The Mirror claim that Bruce had meetings this week with bosses at Villa Park about the January transfer window and has been given reassurances about money being there to spend to improve.
Dr Tony Xia spent big in the summer to start the revamp of a previously doomed Aston Villa side who were relegated from the Premier League with one of the worst points tally to date.

Despite spending big the club’s start to the season was not as planned with Villa only winning once in their opening eleven games under Roberto Di Matteo.
Under Bruce so far the Villans remain unbeaten with three wins and two draws under his stewardship and they’ll be hopeful of continuing their push on the play offs ahead of an action packed few weeks after the international break.
It’s said that Bruce has identified the left wing as a weakness for his side and is keen to improve it.
