The third international break of the season is upon us and, therefore, there are six senior Villa players who, within the next week or so, will be flying to different places all over the world to represent their respective countries.
It is well-known that a lot of fans do not particularly like international breaks due to the fact that it means that there will be no club football for two weeks and there is also the possibility on the club’s best players picking up an injury.
The last international break came at a good time for Villa as it gave Xia two whole free weeks to find us a new manager after the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo. However, if truth be told, this one has not come at the best of times. Bruce has got Villa on a bit of a roll with three wins and two draws from his opening five games in charge. Hopefully this two-week break does not halt our momentum.
In the meantime, we know that the days leading up to the international fixtures can be pretty dull, but it is always good to keep track of your club’s senior players who have been chosen to represent their countries.
Therefore, with this mind, we have put together a round-up of the senior Villa players who have been selected to play for their countries, who they will playing against and when, where and what time they will be playing.
With no further ado, here is your guide to Villa’s international break:
