According to Football Ghana, Jordan Ayew is set to leave Villa in January.
Ayew hasn’t had it easy since joining Villa last year. In 43 appearances, he has only managed to score nine goals, far from what is expected of him.
Ayew moved to Villa with the intention of playing Premier League football, however, his side are 13th in the Championship and promotion is far from certain this season after a difficult start under Roberto Di Matteo.

Ayew reportedly had an offer from St Etienne to join them in January but it is understood that he turned them down as he wants to turn his focus towards the upcoming African Cup of Nations.
Although he turned down a move to St Etienne, it is also understood that Ayew will welcome a transfer to his former club Olympique Marseille,
Time will tell if Villa are willing to sell him, but the AFCON in January is certainly a huge stumbling block for any potential move.
