Aston Villa owner Tony Xia has revealed that he has turned down a £25m bid for young French left-back Jordan Amavi.
Amavi, who has made 17 appearances for Villa so far this season, has been attracting interest from the likes of Marseille, Liverpool, Everton and some Chinese clubs.

However, club owner and chairman Tony Xia immediately took to twitter to let the fans know the current situation with their coveted left back:
Twitter: Don’t bother reading this. I can tell we have rejected an offer of £25M for @@JordanAmavi He will grow bigger at… https://t.co/EJvtlfhAUZ (@Dr_TonyXia)
Aston Villa paid Nice around £9m for the 22-year-old in the summer of 2015. The talented left-back missed the majority of the 2015/16 campaign due to a horrendous knee injury that was picked up on international duty; however, since his return, he has been impressing plenty of clubs.
As the window creeps closer to opening, rumours of his inevitable departure will continue to be heard, but news that Dr. Xia has rebuffed a substantial bid for the talented defender will give the Villa faithful hope that Amavi will still be a Villa player come the end of the transfer window.
