It’s been a massively frustrating first season back in the Championship for Aston Villa so far.
They’ve gone through two managers, an overhaul of the squad and there still doesn’t look to be many signs of improvement at Villa Park for now.
After winning three games on the bounce, many believed that Steve Bruce’s men were just hitting top form again and finally finding their stride in the Championship, but David Wagner and his Huddersfield side brought them back down to earth on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win.
Currently sat in 15th place on the table, it’s been a less than pleasing campaign. Although Villa are only three points away from the top half of the table, they are ten points ahead of the relegation zone and although it is a comfortable advantage, it’s still an unwanted necessity for comparison.
