Aston Villa may not be overly satisfied with the way in which the 2016/17 campaign has gone for them, but there has been some positives to take from the season.
One of these positive aspects is the main man of the team, Jonathan Kodjia.
The Ivory Coast international has been in sublime form for Villa this season, leading the line for Steve Bruce’s men and showing just what all the fuss has been about surrounding him.
In his first season with the club, Kodjia has netted 19 goals in the Championship from just 33 appearances, cementing his place as one of the league’s most prolific goal scorers.
However, speculation regarding his future has been mounting and Premier League clubs are claimed to have shown an interest in him.
Whilst it’s highly unlikely that Villa will back down and allow their prized asset to depart, anything can happen in football and they’ll probably want to strengthen their attacking options anyway.
