Steve Bruce still requires that extra bit of quality if he is to achieve automatic promotion next season, which can easily be found in the loan market.
Huddersfield have been the surprise package of this championship campaign, and are arguably favourites to win the playoffs. However, they probably wouldn’t have reached the dizzy heights of third without the loan market, with Danny Ward, Aaron Mooy and Elias Kachunga, to name a few, becoming vital cogs for The Terriers. They are a prime example of what can happen if you borrow talent from footballing giants, and this is an approach Aston Villa must take to return to the Premier League.
