The Championship season is drawing to a close and Aston Villa’s second last game of the campaign is away to relegation-threatened Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon.
Villa’s season has been all but over for the last 4 to 5 games (apart from the Birmingham derby last Sunday) and this has been reflected on the pitch with some pretty poor performances. Whereas the Villa fans were demanding a win over fierce rivals Birmingham, they will definitely forgive a loss to Blackburn as this, if coupled with a Birmingham loss to Huddersfield, could see The Blues drop into the Relegation Zone for the first time this season.
In fact, for this reason alone, there is probably quite a high percentage of Villa fans that wouldn’t actually mind seeing their team lose to Blackburn at the weekend.
