If there was ever a game which exemplifies that the Aston Villa players have checked out of this season and already begun their summer holidays, it was this one.
Villa, looking to finish strongly ahead of next season, travelled to Ewood Park to face Blackburn who came into the game knowing anything other than a win would see them all but relegated.
It was Rovers who dominated possession as Villa were limited to just pot shots from distance for the most part and the hosts took the lead just after the restart when Danny Graham found the net.
Steve Bruce’s side showed little character in getting themselves back into the game, illustrating that changes are needed in the summer transfer window.
Here are our player ratings from the game.
