Now we’ve entered May, clubs are beginning to notify players who are out of contract in the summer that they will be released when their deals expire, and it’s no different at Aston Villa.

Via his Twitter feed, striker Jerell Sellars has confirmed that he will be leaving Aston Villa this summer.
The 21-year-old’s contract is up in the summer and has now already left Villa Park as he begins his search for a new employer.
Sellars came through the academy at Aston Villa after joining from Lincoln in 2012 but never made a first-team appearance for the club and was named in the matchday squad just once – for an EFL Cup clash with Notts County in 2015.
His only Football League experience came in a loan spell with Wycombe between March and May in 2016 where he failed to score in eight appearances.
