Aston Villa are reportedly keen to make a surprise move for Lincoln City midfielder Alex Woodyard this summer.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the 24-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of many at Villa Park and the club’s chiefs are determined to make their move to bring the non-league midfielder over to the club.
Woodyard has been a mainstay in the Imps’ midfield this season, shining in their quite unbelievable run to the FA Cup quarter final, in which they were knocked out by Premier League side Arsenal.

Villa will be keen to bolster their squad this season as they look to kick on for the 2017/18 campaign, where they will surely push for promotion back up to the top flight at the second time of asking.
Woodyard is fast becoming sought after by several clubs and Villa will need to be quick if they are serious about pursuing him ahead of the summer transfer window.
