Talking to French media outlet 20 minutes, Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout has confirmed he wants to leave Villa Park this summer.
The central midfielder has told media that everyone who belongs to Aston Villa knows he wants to leave this summer, however, understands he has to honour his contract and return to pre-season training.
Veretout, 24, signed for Villa in 2015 for a fee believed to be around £8 million, but failed to make an impact in the Midlands and spent all of last season on loan in France, impressing with Saint-Etienne.
Saint-Etienne are interested in signing him permanently but have been told they must fork out around £7 million for his services, with Villa prepared to sit and wait until a suitable offer comes up.
Veretout was a regular feature in the French side last term, clocking up 42 appearances over all competitions, including appearing at Old Trafford in the Europa League.
