Jordan Veretout’s future at Aston Villa has grown increasingly unlikely in recent times, and it’s looking as though he is set to land his move away from the club this summer.
Saint-Etienne, where he spent last season on loan, have expressed an interest in signing the Frenchman on a permanent basis and, according to the Mirror today, have submitted a £4m offer to sign the player.
However, it’s claimed in the report that Villa boss Steve Bruce is unconvinced that the amount of money the Ligue 1 outfit are offering is enough based on the quality of Veretout.
Without a doubt, the Frenchman is poised for an exit in the near future. Despite this though, Villa will be understandably keen to seek a big fee from his sale.
Reinforcing these reports, Villa owner Dr Tony Xia also hinted on Twitter today that Saint-Etienne’s £4m offer to land Veretout may be insufficient.
