Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Veretout looks set to be on the verge of finally completing his transfer to Saint-Etienne.
According to a report from L’Equipe this evening, as covered by But! out in France, Veretout is due to sign a four-year contract with the Ligue 1 outfit imminently.
The experienced midfielder spent the duration of last season on loan with Christophe Galtier’s side, and the managerial change at the club doesn’t appear to have hindered Veretout’s chances of returning.

Oscar Garcia has been keen to land Veretout for his side and looks set to get his wish, with Villa evidently willing to offload the Frenchman.
The 25-year-old is clearly surplus to requirements at Villa Park, with Steve Bruce focusing on other members of his squad for the central midfield positions.
Veretout has, however, featured for Villa in pre-season, as he looks to keep his fitness up ahead of his increasingly likely move back to his homeland.
