Aston Villa are reportedly keen to land out of favour Crystal Palace midfielder James McArthur this summer.
It was reported earlier on this week that Frank de Boer is ready to sell the Scotland international as he looks to make stylistic changes to his Palace side. This was also shown by the arrival of Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea on loan.
McArthur was a consistent performer for Palace over the last couple of seasons but the new manager evidently has different ideas, and is looking to revamp his side.

According to the Daily Mail, though, McArthur is being targeted by a whole host of clubs. Burnley have been credited with strong interest, but the likes of Aston Villa and Brighton are both being linked with a move for the midfielder.
McArthur will be desperate to play regular first-team football next term, and it looks like he just won’t find that at Selhurst Park.
Competition for places in the Villa midfield is sure to be high next season off the back of Glenn Whelan’s move, as confirmed today, but McArthur would certainly be a shrewd addition.
