Aston Villa’s unbeaten run came to an abrupt end last Saturday evening after they were easily beaten by local rivals Wolves.
It was a very poor performance by Villa at the Molineux, but having picked up 12 points from the last 15 available, there is definitely no need to panic just yet. After twelve matches, they currently sit seventh in the table, just a solitary point outside the play-off places, and five away from automatic promotion.
Next up for Villa is a tricky home match against Fulham, who sit just two places behind Villa on 18 points. The Cottagers have been one of the better teams in the Championship for a few seasons now, and Villa will know that another performance like the one they put in last weekend will more than likely see them fall to another defeat.
