Aston Villa are rumoured to be keen on a move for Holstein Kiel star Dominick Drexler.
The 27-year-old is currently playing for Holstein Kiel in the second tier of German football and has been impressing Villa scouts in recent times.
It’s claimed by German news outlet Kicker that following several scouting missions, Drexler has convinced Aston Villa of his qualities, with the Championship club now keen to secure his services.
Drexler has been in superb form for his side this season. The midfielder, who plays primarily as a number 10, has netted on eight occasions so far this term in the league, and this has evidently caught the eye of Villa’s recruitment team.
The German playmaker has also contributed with five assists in all competitions, and has seen himself directly involved in 15 goals across the board for Holstein Kiel this season.
Newcastle United and Cardiff City are both stated by Kicker to be keen on Drexler, too.
