Ross McCormack is set to fly back to the UK tomorrow and is expected to hold talks with Villa on a possible return.
The Scot was sent on loan to Australian A-League side Melbourne City after a high profile bust-up with Villa boss Steve Bruce.

McCormack was signed last summer for £12 million from Fulham. The Scot never really got going in a Villa shirt and was apparently very unfit. Steve Bruce dropped him from the squad in January for continually missing training.

The 31 year old was then sent out on loan to Nottingham Forest, where he notched one goal against Norwich City. McCormack played two games in the Carabao Cup early in the season for Villa, before being sent out to Australia.
The Scot rediscovered his eye for goal down under, scoring 14 goals in 16 appearances for Melbourne City. The Manchester City affiliate club are expecting an uphill battle to keep McCormack at the club, and expect him to make his return to Aston Villa.
