Aston Villa are reportedly closing in on the deal to sign Manchester United starlet Axel Tuanzebe on loan for the rest of the season, as per Sportsmole.
The young defender has started seldom this season under José Mourinho, only featuring in a Carabao Cup win away at Swansea, a Champions League match at home to CSKA Moscow, and coming off as a late substitute in United’s 2-0 New Years’ Day victory at Goodison Park.
Mourinho has said that the young Englishman needs more minutes in the second half of the season, and a number of Championship clubs are looking at him, but it looks like United’s old hero, Steve Bruce has won his signature.

It looks like the loan move, which would make Tuanzebe the second player at Villa Park on loan from Old Trafford, along with Sam Johnstone, could be done in time for Villa’s clash at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.
Tuanzebe was praised heavily for his impressive performance at Arsenal at the back end of last season, man marking United’s new signing, Alexis Sanchez, so it is proven that the England U21 man has quality.
This quality could help Villa gain the three-point margin which is separating them from fellow Midlands side, Derby County in second in the Championship table and the automatic promotion spots.
