Will Lewis Graban be at Villa Park next season?

Lewis Grabban has been excellent since he arrived at Villa Park on loan from AFC Bournemouth, scoring four goals for the Villans, but it is not clear whether he will be an Aston Villa player next season, whether they are in the Premier League or not, as reported by HITC.

It has been claimed that as Villa are unable to spend big due to Financial Fair Play, they would not be able to buy Grabban.

Glenn Whelan is the only player that has cost any money for Steve Bruce since the summer of 2017, costing around £1.25m from Stoke City and Grabban cost £7m for AFC Bournemouth, so he would not be cheap for Villa.

Grabban was vital for Sunderland for the first half of the season as they tried to get them out of the relegation zone and since leaving the Stadium of Light and moving to Villa Park on loan for the second half of the season, he has continued his impressive goalscoring form at the other end of the Championship table.

In total this season, he has scored 16 league goals in 23 Championship starts, and scored four in four for Villa over February and March.

With eight games left, Bruce knows that he has to surge forward and secure an automatic promotion or play-off spot and gain promotion to the Premier League to be able to afford signing Grabban, along with other loan signings Robert Snodgrass and Sam Johnstone.
