Aston Villa defender John Terry was coy when discussing whether or not he’ll continue playing next season.
The experienced centre-back seemingly intended to make the 2017/18 campaign his last as a footballer but with his performances at Villa continuing to impress, he may be forced to rethink his plans.
Speaking to talkSPORT, as reported by Sky Sports, Terry refused to rule out continuing for Villa next season as the club aim to be playing their football in the Premier League once again.
I still have the appetite and hunger for sure. I just want to get this season finished. My aim at the start of the season was to get us up. One last push and hopefully we can go out with a bang and make it an easy decision at the end.

Steve Bruce’s side are currently sat in the play-off places of the Championship and are desperate to secure their place in the Premier League next term.
Terry’s experience has played a part in what has been a good season for Villa, with the club fourth in the table and only four points away from the automatic promotion places.
Villa fans will hope that Terry decides to play on for another season, with the club harbouring ambitions of top-flight football in the imminent future.
They have welcomed me with open arms and I like to think I have given back on the pitch and on the training field.
It’s been an incredible journey so far and one I have thoroughly enjoyed. I certainly the made the right decision in the summer.
