Villa to pay £10m for Niclas Fullkrug

Aston Villa are reportedly ready to make a £10m bid to bring in Niclas Fullkrug from Hannover 96, according to HITC.

Aston Villa are desperate to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming summer transfer window, regardless of whether the club is playing Championship or Premier League football next season.

Despite finishing fourth in the Championship, Villa have lacked goals from their centre-forwards this season, with most of the side’s goals coming from Albert Adomah and Conor Hourihane.

Lewis Grabban has made a positive impact since arriving on loan from AFC Bournemouth in January, but a permanent deal for the forward looks unlikely.

Jonathan Kodija has scored just once this season, with an ankle injury keeping him out of action for the majority of the season. The other two strikers of Scott Hogan and Kienan Davis have only eight goals this season between them.

Hannover 96 striker Niclas Fullkrug, who has scored 13 Bundesliga goals this season, now looks to be on his way to Villa Park to increase the side’s fire power up top.

It is believed that Fullkrug will cost Villa in the region of £10m, but the forward is also reportedly subject to interest from Newcastle United, Watford and Leicester City.
