Following Aston Villa’s announcement of major capital investment earlier today, manager Steve Bruce has had his future called into question, according to Football Insider.
The Villans, who have so far this summer appeared to be in dire straits, were ‘saved’ on Friday afternoon. Major investment from NSWE, a company run by businessmen Nasser Sawiris and Wes Edens, has helped to alleviate the financial situation the club found themselves in.
Now, with Sawiris and Edens on the board, Football Insider understand that the new investors may look to replace the Villa boss and bring in a new man to lead a promotion charge.

Bruce has been with Villa since October 2016, and had said that he was prepared to stay with Villa ahead of this season, despite the difficulties presented by their financial situation.
But now questions are being asked about how Villa got into the situation they were in, and the new investors are pointing fingers as Bruce’s lavish spending.
Bruce is on a rolling contract with the Midlands club, and while he was keen to remain loyal to the club with Leeds having been interested earlier this summer, the decision may now be taken out of his hands.
