Aston Villa and Middlesbrough are both aiming to sign Bristol City defender Joe Bryan, as both clubs have bids accepted for the player.
John Percy of The Telegraph claims that Villa have agreed a fee of £6 million with Lee Johnson’s side.
However, Gregor MacGregor of Bristol Live claims that Middlesbrough are in the running for the player too.

He claims that it is a ‘straight fight’ between the two clubs.
Both teams will undoubtedly have their sights set on the top six this season and Bryan would come as a huge boost to either side.
Villa have been hoping to strengthen throughout the summer, but their business has been delayed following the takeover at the club.
The signing would be something of a coup for either side, with Premier League side Newcastle also believed to be interested in the player.
There was also said to be interest from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.
