Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has broken his silence on the club’s pursuit of Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The 20-year old striker has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer on a loan deal, and Aston Villa are one of the clubs to have been most heavily linked with an offer.
Bruce is a known admirer of the speedy forward who spent last season on loan with Swansea, and he hopes he can convince him of a move to Villa Park before Friday’s loan window deadline.

Bruce is though aware of the competition Villa could face for his signature. Talking about the likelihood of signing Abraham, as reported by Birmingham Live, Bruce said:
If he does become available then there’s a definite interest from us, of course there is. But I haven’t had any conversation with Chelsea.
If he was available then I think half the Championship would love to take somebody like Tammy Abraham let’s be honest. I don’t think we’re alone.
