Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has made no secret of his desire to sign Villa striker Scott Hogan on loan, but the forward seems unlikely to make the trip to Yorkshire without his current club first acquiring a replacement.
The Irish international joined Villa in January of 2017, with the Midlanders shelling out £12 million for the former Brentford front-man.

Wilder has such an affection for the 26-year-old that he has reportedly promised to pay Hogan more than anyone else currently at Bramall Lane, according to the Birmingham Mail.
However, the loss of Hogan would be felt severely by Villa, meaning a replacement would be necessary.
Currently injured, the centre-forward is joined by fellow attackers Keinan Davis and Harry McKirdy on the injury table, leaving Jonathan Kodjia and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy as the only fit strikers at the club.
With the hectic Championship schedule, don’t expect Aston Villa to let Scott Hogan go before they can line up a man to fill his shoes.
