Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is nearing a return to fitness, as per a report from Birmingham Live.
The forward has not yet played a single minute of action for Steve Bruce’s side this season as he continues to work his way back from an ongoing problem in his groin.
However, it seems Hogan is not far away from being available for selection, as he continues to accelerate his recovery as the international break draws to a close.

Villa boss Bruce delivered a recent update on the condition of Hogan, explaining that he was hoping to have Hogan ready for action after the international break.
He’s back out on the grass now and we’re hoping he will be back after the international break.
The 26-year-old has impressed in spells at Villa since his arrival at the club but will be desperately hoping to shine as the club look to clinch promotion back to the Premier League this term.
Hogan may find it a difficult task to return to Bruce’s starting line-up when he is fit, however. Jonathan Kodjia has performed well in recent times and the arrival of Tammy Abraham from Chelsea on loan is sure to add yet more stiff competition for places up front.
