Tammy Abraham has said it was an “unreal feeling” to score on his home debut for Villa at Villa Park.
The Chelsea loanee scored the first goal of the night against Rotherham on Tuesday, his home debut for the club.
Speaking after the win to Villa’s website, Abraham described the feeling after scoring his first goal for his new side as “amazing”.
It was my first time here – and it’s such a beautiful stadium. It felt unreal to be fair. This is my new home.
It was an amazing feeling. It’s a wonderful stadium, wonderful fans – getting to play football in such a beautiful stadium.
I enjoyed my time out there – I am sure all the boys did. I am sure the fans did too. We put on a performance.
The striker also spoke about Villa wanting to carry the momentum of the win into Saturday’s game against in-form Sheffield Wednesday.

We’re moving forward. It’s looking positive. We’re heading in the right direction.
Hopefully we can take this into the Sheff Wed game. It’s a fantastic team. The spirits are high now heading into Saturday. Let’s keep going.
The youngster joined Villa on loan just before the loan deadline, with Villa also strengthening with the signing of Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton.
Abraham is coming off a tough season with Swansea in the Premier League. The youngster struggled to get going with the Swans after an impressive season with Bristol City the year before.
