Villa got off to winning ways under Dean Smith thanks to a 1-0 win over Swansea at the weekend.
The Villa faithful were hoping that they’d see some attacking football under Smith and the 42,000 who crammed themselves into Villa Park were not to be disappointed.
In the 90 minutes against Swansea, Villa created more goal-scoring opportunities than they did in the last three games under Steve Bruce. However, in future, they will need to convert more than one of their chances as other teams will not be as profligate in front of goal as Swansea were.
Next up for Smith’s men is an away trip to Carrow Road on Tuesday evening to take on Norwich City. The Canaries are currently sitting in 6th place on 21 points, so if Villa manage to beat them and other results go their way, they could find themselves back in the play-off places.
