Tammy Abraham is expected to be fit enough to face Queens Park Rangers this week.
The club have confirmed the Chelsea loanee should be given the all clear to play on Friday night.
It’s a quick turnaround for Villa, who played Norwich on Tuesday night, with games coming thick and fast for Dean Smith.
Both Abraham and Albert Adomah were forced off through injuries against Norwich, but the former’s is not believed to be too serious.

However, Adomah is unlikely to feature against Queens Park Rangers, the club have reported.
Speaking after the game, Smith played down the chances of the winger being involved after a nasty clash against Norwich left him with a sore knee injury.
I am sure Tammy will be fine for Friday. Albert would probably be a worry.
The new Villa boss will be hoping for a positive result to kick-start the weekend after a 2-1 defeat to fellow promotion hopefuls Norwich on Tuesday night.
