Aston Villa have been offered a major boost in their pursuit of Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.
According to reports in Italy from Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have targetted both Cahill, a target for Villa, as well as his Chelsea team-mate Andreas Christensen.
Both players are out of favour at Stamford Bridge and have been linked with January exits.

As expected, Christensen who is 11 years Cahill’s junior is the favoured option for Milan.
Milan had been one of the teams expected to rival Villa in their pursuit of Cahill, but another team dropping out of the race to sign the ex-England international would come as a huge boost to Dean Smith’s side.
Cahill has been told that he can leave Chelsea during the January window after failing to break into Maurizio Sarri’s plans.
The club captain has found game time hard to come by with the Italian head coach preferring to use both David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger.
