A number of League 1 clubs are eyeing up the loan signing of exciting Aston Villa youngster Jake Doyle-Hayes.
According to HITC, sources close to Villa believes a host of teams want to snap up the 19-year-old, adding quality to their midfield in the process.
Villa are thought to be unsure over whether they want to loan him out or not, though, with Doyle-Hayes a potentially important squad member in the second-half of the season.
He is currently behind the likes of Glenn Whelan, Mile Jedinak, Henri Lansbury, Conor Hourihane and John McGinn in the midfield pecking order, however, which is limiting his game time.
Doyle-Hayes has only made three first-team appearances for the Villains to date, but as the months pass and legs grow weary, he may become more key.
On the flip side, regular football in a lower division could be priceless for the Republic of Ireland U19 international’s development.
The League 1 clubs reportedly interested are not specified, but it is thought to be a significant number,
Doyle-Hayes moved to Villa as a 15-year-old in 2014, rejecting the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
