Aston Villa target Tom Heaton is reportedly interested in leaving Burnley on loan in the January transfer window.
The England international has been forced to settle for a place on the sidelines this season, with summer signing Joe Hart being the preferred goalkeeper in Nick Pope’s absence for the Clarets.
This has prompted speculation surrounding the experienced shot-stopper’s future at Turf Moor.

Dean Smith’s Villa were linked with a move for Heaton in recent times and according to claims from Birmingham Live, the player is interested in a temporary move away from Turf Moor.
Villa are understood to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeping signing when the January transfer window does open, with Heaton among the names under consideration.
The Championship club have also been linked with a swoop for Newcastle United man Karl Darlow, but he is currently nursing an elbow injury, casting doubt over a potential switch at the turn of the year.
