Lovre Kalinic’s move to Aston Villa is ‘almost a done deal’, according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur.
He tweeted on Thursday morning to confirm that the player is poised to join Dean Smith’s side ahead of the January transfer window.
It had previously been claimed that the player was travelling to the UK to undergo a medical with the club.

Kalinic has been a long-term target for Villa, with the club trying to sign the player back in 2016.
He was denied a move to England because of the lack of a work permit prevented any deal from going ahead.
However, after cementing his place as Croatia’s number one goalkeeper, the player will now qualify for a work permit and complete his move to Villa Park.
The deal to sign the goalkeeper is expected to cost around £7 million, with Smith looking to strengthen as he sets his sights on promotion.
