Aston Villa have received a boost regarding the short-term future of key man Jack Grealish.
The 23-year-old is arguably his team’s most important player and growing up as a Villa supporter makes him the heartbeat of the club.
Grealish has been continually linked with moves away from Villa Park, however, most notably to Tottenham.
He nearly made the switch to north London last summer, but a transfer never quite managed to materialise.

It doesn’t look as though Spurs will be making a move any time soon, though, with Mauricio Pochettino claiming new players won’t arrive until deadwood is sold:
In case we don’t sell players, it’s impossible to bring players [in]. And to find the capacity to bring [players in].
It is a real positive for Villa, who will be dreading the thought of losing such an influential individual.
Grealish is currently sidelined with an injury, with his return so key to Villa mounting a genuine promotion push.
