Aston Villa are reportedly set to reignite their interest in French defender Harold Moukoudi.
According to L’Equipe, Villa are still one of several teams in the hunt to sign him this month.
Villa were heavily linked with the Le Havre youngster during the summer window, but the defender opted to remain in France.
It seems that Villa have maintained their interest throughout the season, but they will face tough competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Napoli.
There is also believed to be rising interest in France, with Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Rennes and Nice among the teams looking to sign him from Le Havre.
Moukoudi has been on the radar of several clubs after breaking into the Le Havre first-team squad at the age of just 16.
He is highly regarded in France and is being tipped for big things going forward.
Despite the fact Steve Bruce was in charge when the club were first credited with an interest, it appears Villa have kept close tabs on his development ever since.
