According to the Birmingham Mail, former Villa manager Paul Lambert wants to bring James Bree on loan to Ipswich Town for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old right-back had been enjoying a run in the starting XI due to a number of injuries, but since those players have returned from the sidelines, and with the recent additions of Kourtney Hause and Tyrone Mings, he now finds himself back down the pecking order again.
In fact, Dean Smith has left him out of the match day squad for the last two matches against Hull and Ipswich.

Lambert is in desperate need of a right-back, as he has has been playing Matthew Pennington there, who is a centre-back by trade.
He does have the option of playing Jordan Spence, who is an actual right-back, but, for some reason, he hasn’t been involved since Ipswich were knocked out of the FA Cup by Accrington Stanley.
As it is unlikely that he is to get much playing time with Villa, it’s probably best for Bree if he goes out on loan for the rest of the campaign.
