According to a report by Football Insider,Jacob Bedeau is set for a permanent move to Scunthorpe United before the transfer window slams shut later on today.
Aston Villa signed the now 19-year-old back in January 2017 in a deal that is believed to have cost the club around £1 million, but, for some reason or another, his has failed to make a single appearance for the senior side.
The former Bury man’s contract expires in the summer, and Villa want to recuperate some of the money that they spent on him instead of just letting him leave for free at the end of the season.
A handful of clubs in the lower leagues have shown interest in acquiring Bedeau’s signature this month, but it is believed that Scunthorpe have come out on top and will offer him a three-year contract.
If the deal goes through as expected, Bedeau could find himself in the starting lineup to face Barnsley this weekend.
