Swansea City, according to Wales Online, have confirmed that Leroy Fer will remain at the club until the end of the season.
With just an hour or so remaining of the January transfer window, a number of reputable sources had declared that the 29-year-old Dutch international had completed a move to Villa Park.
However, the deadline for completing deals came and went, yet no official news came from Villa to announce his signing.

When Villa’s last signing of the window was eventually revealed, it was news that no one expected – the club announced that they had signed Fer’s teammate Tom Carroll on loan for the rest of the season.
Naturally, the majority of Villa fans were confused and wanted to know what happened to the Fer deal, yet, once again, no news was forthcoming.
The Welsh club later released a statement in which they state that he just decided that he wanted to stay at the Liberty Stadium to help them out in their remaining league games.
