Aston Villa could be without Lovre Kalinic this weekend, as Dean Smith’s injury problems mount up.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the goalkeeper requires a “late check-up” to see if he will be available to face Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.
Kalinic was replaced at half-time in Villa’s 2-0 defeat at home to West Brom last Saturday, after colliding with Jake Livermore.
He went on to concede twice before coming off, after it was confirmed he had suffered mild concussion.
It is the latest injury setback for the Villains, whose season is threatening to peter out.
Jack Grealish, Tom Carroll, Axel Tuanzebe are all currently unavailable, while John McGinn is suspended for the trip to Stoke.
A win is paramount if Villa are going to keep their chances of reaching the playoffs looking healthy.
They are nine points behind sixth-place Bristol City as things stand, with an inferior goal difference.
