Alan Hutton is likely to play a big part in Aston Villa’s promotion push this year, after the Scotsman returned to training Monday after a spell on the sidelines.
The defender had sustained a knee injury during a draw with Stoke City back in February, and a bleak picture seemed to indicate that his season might be over.
However, a report from the Birmingham Mail has confirmed that the veteran is back in action, and could be available for selection come the weekend, when his side host Bristol City at Villa Park for an absolutely monstrous clash at the top end of the Championship.

It will come as welcome news to Dean Smith, who will no doubt require a full bill of health to give his side the best chance of returning to the Premier League.
Hutton had been a pivotal part of the back four in the West Midlands so far this season before going down with his injury, making 32 appearances in the league, in both the right and left full-back positions.
