Aston Villa will face competition from Rangers for Croatian midfielder Josip Vukovic, according to reports.
The 26-year old has impressed for Portuguese club Maritimo this season, on loan from Ukrainian side Olimpik Donetsk, making 19 appearances for the relegation threatened club.
The former Croatia youth international has been linked with a move to England in the past, with Leicester, Chelsea and Wolves rumoured to be keeping tabs on the star earlier this year.
Now, according to Calciomeracto, as cited by the Birmingham Mail, the Villans are interested in pursuing a deal for the £4million man.
However, they will face strong competition from Scottish Premiership side Rangers, who are also keen on strengthening ahead of next season.
