Aston Villa are one of a host of clubs battling to sign Angers striker Stephane Bahoken this summer.
According to The Mirror, Aston Villa are fighting Derby County, Swansea and Sheffield United to land the forward at the end of the season.
Bahoken has impressed in Ligue 1 for Angers so far this year and has ten league goals to his name as it stands.
The 26-year-old joined Angers last summer from Strasbourg, where he had scored 24 goals in 113 league appearances.

He has also been rewarded for his form at Angers with international recognition. Bahoken made his debut for Cameroon last year and has scored once in two caps for his country.
Bahoken has had some experience with British football, after a short loan spell at St Mirren in Scotland. The forward failed to score in five appearances for the club during the 2013/14 season.
Tammy Abraham has scored 25 goals for Aston Villa this season, but he is only on loan from Chelsea and is due to return to Stamford Bridge this summer.
